When you volunteer, you give a priceless gift to those who are affected by end-of-life challenges and you make an extraordinary difference.
You will be the backbone of our organization – without you we could not operate! Your dedication and kindness will enable us to provide support, throughout Perth County, to palliative clients and their families. In order to serve and reflect the many cultures and groups residing in our community, our hospice welcomes volunteer applicants who reflect the wide diversity of our citizens.
Due to the sensitive nature of our service, you will be required to participate in a thorough screening process which includes an interview, reference check, vulnerable police record check and health screening. Once successfully completed, you will participate in a 30-hour comprehensive training and orientation program to ensure you have the knowledge required to provide outstanding care to the residents in our Hospice.
Whether you want to help others, meet new people or develop new skills – volunteering can enrich your life. With both short and long-term volunteer opportunities, you will have a mutually agreed-upon role that matches your interests, skills and availability with the needs of the Hospice.
